3 additions to the family!

We have had a crazy last two months. We have gained 3 family members and sadly lost one. On April 25 something attacked our baby dixie cat. Her rear legs were torn all up very badly and so was her belly. It was bad. She made it through the night and in the morning we ran her to the animal hosptial. The doc told us he would do what he could but she might loose a rear leg it was so bad, I don't think anyone would believe what her legs looked like they were in bad condition as all the meat was gone and all you could see was tendons and bone. Anyway, our baby is now our little tripod with three legs. It has been a month since it happened and she is getting around really well. She got her cast off yesterday and graduated from having go to the vet every two weeks! It's nice not to have the cast on any more since we had to hold her down and change it every 3-4 days which she didn't like at all. She did end up having about all the colors of casts they have. We are getting closer to being completely healed luckily. We are not exactly sure what attacked her but the doc said it most likely was a dog or raccoon. Let's just say i am a bit over protective of my animals now. No one goes outside unattented.
The day I brought Dixie home from the hospital her sister Penny Passed away after commiting suicide under my car. Penny had been going nuts not having her sister around for two days hence is why i say it was suicide because both my girls run the other way when cars are moving. We miss our baby Penny. Dixie really misses her pal it was hard for awhile and still is as Dixie looks around the yard for her dear playmate. Bandit has become quite a friend to Dixie through the whole ordeal which i think helps Dixie feel loved.

The next week Cameo a wild farm cat had her kittens and left them after her pushed them out. Bandit found them first then i realized what was going on. The kittens were cold and three of them had already died the other two i didn't think they were going to make it but couldn't watch them die in the sun so i brought them in and cared for them. Well 4 weeks later and they are still alive and growing. The dark one is named Theodore and the white one is Simon. When i found them they were 3 oz and 2 1/2 oz they are now 10oz. Our house has been busy nursing animals back to health.

So you have heard what the two additions to the family and i am sure you are asking what is third addition... well it's not a baby... It's a TRUCK! For my Mother's day present i got a new truck! We didn't get it to the house until memorial weekend though. But we LOVE IT! We looked around at different cars and trucks with an open mind but it kept coming back that another truck would be nice.
Also on memorial weekend we went fourwheeling. It was good to get away in the mountains for a while. We were just able to go with the family up the mountain without having to trailer up, which makes it really nice!

We are just so gratiful that we have the oppurtunity to have so many animals in our lives. We love and miss you Penny!
